Anniversary event showcases wide variety of projects
On 27 November our Oslo Branch and our Young Professionals Branch co-organized an anniversary event in celebration of PMI marking its 50th anniversary in 2019. PMI members were invited to present their own best projects, and we had four very different and very interesting presentations that truly represent the wide variety of projects that Project Managers are involved in.
- Beatriz Alonso Castro is a Marine Engineer and Naval Architect from Madrid Spain, and she was the winner of the 2019 Aspiring Project Leader of the Year Award for her contribution to the YME project. YME Oil Field presentation in PDF format (1019 KB) .
- Americo Pinto PMP, PMO-CC, is one of the main authorities in the PMO topic in the Americas, having more than 20 years’ experience as an International Speaker, Consultant, Researcher, Executive and Author. Go Global presentation in PDF format (3.39 MB) .
- Sana Riahi, has an MSc in Industrial Economics from NTNU, and was the winner of the 2019 Project Manager of the Year award for PMI Norway Chapter for his work in this project. pdfHandling Complexity presentation in PDF format (762 KB) .

Over 30 PMI members and prospects joined the 3-hour event at Teknologihuset in Oslo, enjoying the excellent presentations and networking, accompanied by food and drinks. Everyone proudly wore the PMI50 badge!
