It was with great pleasure we welcomed all the participants to the PMI Norway Chapter Project Management Conference of the year on the 25th of September at Radisson Plaza in Oslo.

This year’s theme Adapt or Die? focused on transforming project management to embrace the challenges of tomorrow. Our President addressed this in her opening address “How can we continue as before, when everything ahead of us is changing?”

The attendees were a great mix of PMI members and non-members from different areas of project management and industries. And since the conference was helt fully in English, we also attracted many participants not native to Norway.

Bruno Kahne kickstarted the day with his lecture on Learning from the Deaf - Skills in Simple, Precise & Rapid Project Communication. This was a real eye opener in regard to communication.

Next up were Silvija Seres and Victor Norman and they laid the foundation for an important debate in regard to digitalisation and the effect on today’s and future society, which they address from two different angles.

After lunch we addressed Adapt or Die? from a Stakeholder and Technology angle before Halvard Kilde summed up the day and addressed clearly the significance and the scale of the investments in projects taking place in Norway.

The day was wrapped up with a wonderful dinner and yet another angle on projects and how they are delivered successfully in the cultural sector, presented by Technical Director at the Norwegian Opera, Karl Hanseth.
