Organizational Project Management (OPM) extends and integrates the distinct views of projects, programs and portfolios and describes a governance approach to all project related work in an organization. That includes the organizational and business related integration of projects, programs and portfolios, but also themes like multi-project strategies, governance paradigms, projectification, governmentality and project-oriented organization structures.

The seminar presents a way to integrate 22 of these themes into an organization-wide model for OPM, including its empirical and theoretical validation. Subsequently, a free-of-cost self-assessment tool is presented, which allows organizations to identify their own OPM implementation profile, its strengths and weaknesses, and to work on possible improvements thereof.

The last part of the seminar extends this organizational view into networks of organizations that jointly work in projects. Insights from this ongoing study are shared and opportunity is given to organizations to contribute to the study, allowing them reaping benefits such as free organization-specific workshops on the governance of these networks.
