Oslo Branch and Young Professionals Branch are organising this anniversary event together.  We have invited PMI members to present their own best projects with 20-25 minute presentations. We have four exciting contributions from both experienced and young professional PMI members.

Design, Fabrication and Installation of a Subsea Structure in the YME Oil Field

Beatriz Alonso Castro is a Marine Engineer and Naval Architect from Madrid Spain, and she was the winner of the 2019 Aspiring Project Leader of the Year Award for her contribution to the YME project. The project scope for her team in Repsol was to design, fabricate, and install a subsea structure in the YME Project in the Oil and Gas Industry. A combination of dimensional control uncertainties, prototype tooling, diving, and grouting subsea, working together with a project team expecting this operation to be successfully completed to carry out the next development phases made the completion challenging and rewarding.

Go Global - How to spread an idea around the world with the power of purpose and collaboration

Americo Pinto PMP, PMO-CC, is one of the main authorities in the PMO topic in the Americas, having more than 20 years’ experience as an International Speaker, Consultant, Researcher, Executive and Author. He was one of the founders of PMI in Brazil in 1999 and has since been a PMI volunteer for the last 20 years, working with PMI Chapters in over 25 countries. 
In this talk you will learn a true story of collaboration that shows how it is possible to accomplish great achievements with few resources but a great passion and purpose. In only two years, the PMO Global Awards has became the largest award for PMOs in the world, counting with more than 500 professionals working collaboratively in 104 countries, including Norway, and leaving a significant legacy to the Project Management community. And what was needed for that? A genius idea? A lot of money? A little luck? Definitely none of that. It only took a dream, a clear purpose, and the certainty that by building bridges and trusting relationships, it is possible to go much further than we could even imagine.

Handling Complexity in the Frende LOS Insurance Platform Implementation Project

Sana Riahi, has an MSc in Industrial Economics from NTNU, and was the winner of the 2019 Project Manager of the Year award for PMI Norway Chapter for his work in this project. He is an IT Business Consulting Professional, dedicated to leading IT transformation projects, and he holds the position Head of Section Program and Project Management at EVRY. His winning Frende LOS project is perceived as a complex implementation of a core insurance platform in terms of its novelty, size, duration, needs for changes in IT architecture, number of interested parties and their conflicting interests, and the need for a large interdisciplinary team for successful delivery. The success of a project is much about the ability of the Project Manager and his team to find a suitable Project Model to handle that complexity. Sana is going to talk about how he has succeeded in managing this complexity in the project.

Where does AI fit into the whole Scheme of Collective Intelligence? Recent Research Findings

Moneer Barazi is from Syria and is a certified PMP. He holds a BA in economics and an MBA in strategic management. He has many years of experience as a researcher and writer in economics and management, including five years in project management in different countries. Barazi has recently started his own company in Norway, under the name Barazi Consulting, and he has given a presentation on Humanitarian Projects at a PMI PUB seminar last April.
His project is about Collective Intelligence. What is collective intelligence? What makes certain teams collectively intelligent and others not. And what makes some project teams more collectively intelligent than others? What role does artificial intelligence take in the whole scheme of collective intelligence, and should we be worried about it? These questions will be discussed in this short presentation, which will review the recent research findings on those topics.
